We started our business with a vision to provide high-quality timepieces/tool watches at affordable prices. We believe that everyone should have access to stylish and functional watches from the world of espionage, elite law enforcement and special operations from the real world and the cinema. Jack worked for Rolex in New York City for 25 years and became General Manager of their Service Department. Today Jack runs his own company, WatchWorks Inc. Based closely on the original watch with its plexiglass crystal, non-ratcheting bezel, rivet bracelet and overall dimensions, the UE5513, like the original, is a modern classic that is at home on the shooting range as well as the driving range. Rick Dos Santos was educated at a New England prep school that is a member of the Eight Schools Association and Six Schools League and graduated in the early eighties.
Because of his love of the sea, he continued his education at one of the seven maritime academies located in the United States in pursuit of becoming a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer. He received his Bachelor of Science degree as well as his original unlimited tonnage Third Mate License (Third Officer License). During his time at sea, Rick Dos Santos was awarded the Merchant Marine Expeditionary Medal by the Maritime Administration (MARAD) for serving as a civilian mariner engaged in strategic sealift in support of U.S. and allied coalition forces on the following two separate occasions:
1. Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm
2. Operation Restore Hope
After sailing for nearly a decade, upgrading his Officer’s License (still active) and traveling the world extensively, Rick Dos Santos decided to go ashore. He worked for a short time in the marine insurance industry on New York’s Wall Street but was looking for more action and adventure and decided to pursue a career in federal law enforcement. After nearly three years, Rick Dos Santos was hired by the Drug Enforcement Administration as a Special Agent. He was sent to the DEA Academy co-located with the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. There he learned the art of drug law enforcement which included CQB, tactical training, PT, fighting, surveillance and the like. One of his favorite memories of that time was of learning how to hit a door and clear a residence in the storied Hogan’s Alley.
After serving for over 22 years as a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration in the New York Division, Rick Dos Santos retired in December of 2023. Of his time with DEA, Rick says he wasn’t the best but that he served in the company of the best including DEA’s state and local Task Force partners. “True studs and studettes, all of them”.
